Another Amazing High School Graduate

Congratulations to Carter Thompson, graduate of Urban Prep Charter Academy for Young Men's class of 2011.  Urban Prep Charter Academy for Young Men is a charter school in the heart of Chicago and is the country's first charter school for boys.  This school is making a difference in the lives of young African American men in Chicago.  Although the high school graduation rates of young African American men in Chicago are alarmingly low,  Urban Prep is helping to stop this cycle, with 100% of their graduates being accepted into 4 year colleges.  Amazing!  Carter, a particularly special graduate, finished cum laude and will be attending Tuskegee University in the fall.  The picture below captures the essence of graduation day - pure joy!
